As in the interiors of the Far East, this floor-level fireplace expresses its beauty in simplicity. The hood is enclosed in glass panels that can be opened to fully experience the fire or closed for security. In certain conditions (which include flue length), the hood can be supplied without the glass panels. Larger than the Meijifocus, this fireplace looks equally stylish mounted on a stand in the centre of a room or, as in the photograph opposite, on a split level.
hood (40 kg)l; flue: diameter 320 mm, 17 kg/m (made to measure); highly heat-resistant matt black paint. The 2 curved pyroceramic glass panels are mounted on bearings to slide easily. An air intake (diameter 160 mm) into the hearth is essential. Rotating the fire-bowl for the wood that sits on the base controls the air flow into the fireplace. The fireplace can operate either with 1 door open or all the doors closed.
