Minitopo

Table lights from Stilnovo, Designed by Joe Colombo

Product description

Minitopo is a fascinating object of automotive inspiration: the slits on the body are reminiscent of the vents on a 1960s sports car, whilst the lampshade’s form corresponds to the shell of the classic E27 bulb it contains, like the bodywork covering an engine. The resulting form resembles a little mouse (or, ‘topo’ in Italian), hence the ironic name. The light is can be directed via the black handle, which represents the mouse’s tail, positioned on the light reflector.

Adjustable metal head painted in glossy white, black, red, green, chrome finishes with supporting stem in chromed metal. Special editions: Chrome Special (total chrome), Gold Special (head in galvanic gold and matte black stem), Iconic Red (total Iconic Red). Head interior painted white. Grip in black thermal insulating material. 7W 2700K E27 LED bulb included.

Concept

The flexible gooseneck and adjustable head form the
essential components of a collection that has been a symbol of
Italian design since the Seventies.
The curved lines of the lampshade envelop the shape of the
traditional light bulb conjuring up the image of a charming little
mouse. The diffuser cap has five slots that dissipate the heat
while preventing direct glare, in accordance with a stylisticfunctional
choice taken from the automobile industry. A black
handle at the top of the reflector (tail of the mouse) makes it
possible to orient the light at will, making the lamp ideal for
using on desks, tables and night stands.
