Plexwood - Panel flexible
Wood veneers from Plexwood
Product description
Concept
Plexwood is an innovative interior design veneer, composed of end grain wood and with the grain veneers, which give the product a clear linear structure. Plexwood can be used for floors, walls, ceilings, staircases, furniture, and company logos, amongst many other conceptual applications. End rain wood, one of the main components of Plexwood, is harder than regular cut wood, making Plexwood products suitable for high traffic environments like public spaces, office, retail, education and health care environments. In our production we do not use formaldehyde based glue or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Plexwood can meet almost any sustainability standard or certification.
Available in 11 products: Strip, Parquet strip, Plank, Tile, Panel one-sided, Panel two-sided, Panel flexible, Geometric, Solid, Profile and Special.
The standard measurement of Panel flexible is ± 2400 x 1200 x 8 bendable plywood + 2 mm Plexwood top layer. Alternative substrates are thinner bendable plywood or bendable mdf (10 mm). While bendable plywood is not as flexible as mdf, it is a more stable product, whereas bendable mdf allows for slightly sharper curves.
There are 4 options for bendable panels. The plywood can bend either over the length (2400 mm) or over the width (1200 mm). Moreover, the lining of Plexwood on the panel can be along the length or along the width. The direction of Plexwood on the substrate relative to the bending direction of the plywood has consequences for the minimum radius that can be achieved when bending the panel.
Measurements for wall, furniture, doors and many other applications:
± 2400 x 1200 x 10 (8 bendable plywood + 2 Plexwood) mm
± 2400 x 1200 x 12 (10 bendable mdf + 2 Plexwood) mm
