Product description

Acoustic - Wool felt rigid is a 3-layered product, consisting of a substrate (mdf or plywood) with an intermediate layer of wool felt and a top layer of Plexwood veneer, with a linear groove pattern across the entire length, exposing the wool felt. The combination of these grooves with wool felt give the sheets sound insulating properties. These sheets can also be chosen for their aesthetics, as the wool felt is available in a variety of colours.

The standard measurement of Acoustic - Wool felt rigid is ± 2400 x 900 x 19.5 (12 mdf + 5 wool felt + 2.5 Plexwood) mm. Other thickness's and types of substrate like plywood are optional. The product is standard delivered finished with a water-based varnish.

Concept

Plexwood is an innovative interior design veneer, composed of end grain wood and with the grain veneers, which give the product a clear linear structure. Plexwood can be used for floors, walls, ceilings, staircases, furniture, and company logos, amongst many other conceptual applications. End grain wood, one of the main components of Plexwood, is harder than regular cut wood, making Plexwood products suitable for high traffic environments like public spaces, office, retail, education and health care environments. In our production we do not use formaldehyde based glue or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Plexwood can meet almost any sustainability standard or certification.

Available in 12 products: Strip, Parquet strip, Plank, Tile, Panel one-sided, Panel two-sided, Panel flexible, Geometric, Acoustic, Solid, Profile and Special.

Acoustic is used for its sound insulation properties and is available as Plank, Tile and Wool felt (sheets). Each type of product, pattern and build-up has its own characteristics in terms of absorption.

Acoustic - Plank is a 2-layer wood product, consisting of an mdf substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side and an acoustic fleece on the reverse side, and tongue and groove and complementary installation system, Plank is provided with a pattern of linear grooves with slots.

Acoustic - Tile is a 2-layer wood product, consisting of an mdf substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side and an acoustic fleece on the reverse side, and a groove and slip tongue connection and complementary installation system, Tile is provided with a pattern of perforations.

Acoustic - Wool felt is a 2- or 3-layer wood product, consisting of a 100% natural wool felt layer and a Plexwood veneer on one side, or a substrate with an intermediate layer of wool felt and a Plexwood veneer on one side; both variations have a linear groove pattern exposing the wool felt. The 2-layer variety is extremely flexible, suitable for inward and outward curves of a 50 mm radius, whereas the 3-layer variety is rigid. The layer of wool felt gives these sheets an acoustic quality, and they can also be chosen for their aesthetics, as the wool felt is available in a variety of colours.
