Concept

At the beginning of the shutdown necessitated by the pandemic, I thought long and hard about the changes I needed to make to adapt my daily routine to the new reality. The new routine required me to change how I think about and approach design, The quarantine created opportunities to experiment, and the result is a new collection of objects called 020, inspired both by necessity and a longing for connection and movement. Each piece takes ownership of its space, at the same time that it streches its elegant limbs, like arms and legs reaching for far away objects or people, trying to touch just beyond what's in reach. The 020 collection is composed of handcrafted brass parts, LED lights, and—instead of the acrylic tubes I've previously used—elegant glass bulbs. Custom variations are also possible.
