The Arcadia restaurant in the Talgut-Zentrum mall in Ittigen near Berne specializes in Mediterranean dishes. As the restaurant believes not just in culinary excellence, but also in having stylish surroundings, the management decided to update the slightly time-worn Horgenglarus chairs. Girsberger checked the stability of each individual chair, reglueing sections as required. Then a total of 82 chairs were sanded and three coats of hard-wearing matt black varnish applied. All the seats were reupholstered with new foam and high-quality natural leather. Finally, to make the chairs as easy to move as possible for guests, Teflon floor gliders were fixed to the feet.
