Concept

Paper-ina is a litter bin defined by the duality of its cubic and conical shapes, and the concrete and plastic materials used to make it. This model aims to achieve a unique play of volumes, weights and materials in designing this type of element, thus completing the offer of solutions that meet the needs of public space.

It was originally designed to improve the sea promenade of El Masnou, based on a project by the same author.

The parallelepiped base serves to give direction to the urban element, creating different sides that interact with the geometry of the street. It has a plastic, conical-shaped cover that gives it a friendlier appearance and facilitates cleaning and maintenance. The plastic bag is held in place by a stainless steel ring secured by a stranded wire cable, with no need for mechanisms.

Stainless steel-reinforced concrete body, rotational moulded plastic cover, stainless steel ring that holds the waste bag in place and a stranded wire cable to secure the ring. It is self-balancing and designed to be installed on the paving with four threaded M16 x 140 mm screws inserted and fastened with resin in holes with a diameter of 40 mm.
