- Mission Unopiù, company leader in the production and distribution of design furniture and accessories for the outdoors, was founded in the heart of Tuscia over forty years ago. Unopiù’s mission is to furnish every outdoor area of the home with the same care and passion as is dedicated to the indoors, conceiving and creating elegant functional areas where relaxing inspirational moments may be enjoyed in true Italian style. The company offers a “total look” for any type of ambience, from the urban balcony to the grand gardens of great villas in verdan countryside; thanks to complete collections of furniture, structures and accessories, Unopiù can satisfy any style requirement the customer may have, from the most classic design to the most modern. All Unopiù creations are made to last, without losing any of the technical or quality characteristics that have become the company trademark. Materials are selected for their unrivalled quality and resistance to all weather conditions, even the most extreme. - Origins and development Unopiù was founded in Italy in 1978 in an area historically dedicated to gardening like Tuscia, an area with a long tradition of villas, gardens and outdoor living. The idea, simple but innovative at the time, was to give dignity to outdoor areas, furnishing them with the same style and taste as had previously been dedicated exclusively to the indoors, supplying complete 360° furnishing solutions for the outdoor areas of the home: from seating to structures, as well as accessories. This Italian taste and design revolution initially began with a mail order catalogue, then developed into a wide distribution network of shops until finally developing into an indirect channel and commercial site available in six languages. An innovative business model of its type that has established Unopiù as the leader and point of reference for the European outdoor market. Its uniqueness is abovell in production: Unopiù has an inhouse carpentry workshop which can create customized projects of any product at all, from pergolas to furniture. Besides the inhouse R&D division with particularly qualified expert resources, many Unopiù articles have been created by internationally famous designers like Paola Navone, Ferruccio Laviani, Marco Acerbis, Matteo Thun, Meneghello & Paolelli, Andreucci & Hoisl, etc., Critical to this success has always been the choice of durable materials, even in volatile weather conditions: top quality teak, handwoven synthetic fibre, powder coated galvanized iron, treated nordic pine, ceramics, terracotta, stone and techno fabrics for external use. In these times of greater outdoor/indoor fusion, these raw materials make Unopiù furniture suitable for both external and internal use. Some lines in particular, distinguished for their elegance and innovation, are completely at home in any ambience at all, whether it be “within or without”. - Unopiù today The Unopiù sales network is a true strong point. It is composed of 23 Unopiù owned shops in Italy, France, Germany and Spain as well as numerous partners who for years have backed the development of the brand. E-commerce is another strong point in rapid development that is strategic for Unopiù and represents the evolution of the company. What were until 10-15 years ago mail order sales through a printed Catalogue, today are via internet with sites in various languages with the very latest information available to clients. In today’s offer Unopiù combines iconic pieces that have made the history of the company and design like the Amanda Hammock, presented in 1988 and still a best seller, with contemporary furniture like Synthesis, icon of the mix of different materials like teak and fibre. Research is a constant for Unopiù: every year the R&D department presents important new ideas for all outdoor products: from the innovation of materials, to that of colors for any type of personalization, to new products satisfying new trends, like that of outdoor cooking, to new editions of iconic Unopiù products. - The future There are still many countries where Unopiù solutions can be offered to clients and a great many empty spaces yet to furnish.
