One of the main characteristics of De Padova furniture is its quiet confidence. Sharing a respectful and clean style that doesn’t try to overpower a room, the pieces simply fill it with comfort and ease, creating a relaxing seat as well as a relaxing environment. With their extra-long, extra-soft and extra-deep credentials, the Square 16 sofa and the modular Horizontal collection are both perfect examples.

With squared-off arm cushions and a physics-defying stretched frame, Square 16’s short feet and low seat combine with distinctive seams to give it a definite sixties vibe, especially in worn brown leather.

The subtle style of Square 16 creates a relaxing place to enjoy beautiful backdrops of scenery, be they the panoramic views from the Glass House (top), or other stylish contemporary interiors (bottom)

The Horizontal range, meanwhile, created by Japanese brand Time & Style, combines not only the standard corner, recliner, longue and middle sections, but its own footstool, table and drawers share the same measurements as well. This means they can all sit together, as one family portrait of furniture – especially useful in smaller spaces.

While both products can be seen as love letters to geometry, it was Square 16’s extra-long form that was selected for a central role in the jaw-dropping Glass House – a re-developed orangery in Basso Monferrato, with panoramic glass walls providing a shaded view of the surrounding countryside. Due to the structure’s specific dimensions, Square 16’s length, along with its unassuming design, ensure it fits perfectly with the interior without distracting from the beauty of the backdrop.

The Horizontal furniture range is a modular system that includes wooden cabinets and tables with exactly the same dimensions as its seating elements, giving users functional freedom in small spaces

Both Square 16 and Horizontal are formally unobtrusive and so ideal for design projects that seek to be uncomplicated on the one hand, yet comfortable and comforting too.
