Concept

A laser cut and folded steel sheet . This is the seat Cutout, designed by Omri Revesz for Urbo.

A series of urban furniture based on the simple goal of creating a three-dimensional structure from a two-dimensional sheet. The path is created thinking in order to increase the socialization in the public spaces: the classical interpretation of the furnishings is replaced by a crop that gives a more appropriate structure to the target context, the urban environment.

The bench structure is constituted by a single metal sheet, bent to transform a surface in a volume, a two-dimensional object in a three-dimensional one. A special cut of the sheet allows its folding into two floors: the first creation according to a profile of the bench and the other for the creation of the circular shape of the bench itself. Circular shape and the possibilities of modular installation creates a constant interaction between the users. Twelve benches, each 2 meters long, creating a full circle, and therefore able to create a kind of living room, but in the green of a park or in the architecture of a square.

Materials: treated and painted steel
