OBLìO makes a bold and beautiful statement. Elegant in black and absolutely nothing like it on the market. OBLìO is a sophisticated tile choice which will be enjoyed forever.

OBLìO is a large format tile, measuring 60 x 60 x 2cm (23.6” x 23.6” x 0.8”). Made from recycle black limestone dust, shaped, then polished so that the raised design is a glossy black. Because of the fabrication process, this tile an work in areas not generally acceptable for natural stone.

Concept

Giovanni has chosen Black Limestone as the canvas for this masculine and dramatic design. Black Limestone is naturally grey but when polished becomes shiny black thus making the raised geometric design stand out against the rougher texture of the background. With only two tile patterns which can fit together on any side, the installation can be exciting and quite varied, or done in a soothing repeat pattern. Either way, OBLìO is a remarkable testament to an Artist’s ability to enhance nature. As with most Giovanni Barbieri designs, OBLìO is ideal for high-impact focal points. Color variation is slight however this is a hand finished product which will have some variations in surface presentation. OBLìO is made from recycling limestone dust production waste, reproducing faithfully the Natural Stone’s beauty. It is suitable for any installation even where Natural Stone is not suggested. No maintenance. Not absorbent. UV color protection tested by laboratory.
