An impressive swath of dark grey faux shagreen leather is framed within an antique brass perimeter to create a strikingly textured low table. Our faux embossed shagreen leather is inspired by the skins of stingrays, a luxury leather used since the 18th century. Characterized by a smoothly pebbled surface and a center marking that runs along the ray's spine, its graphic simplicity and subtle dimension make it sophisticated and modern. By hand our artisans in India emboss leather to impart a fine pebbled finish, dying each section before stretching over a wooden frame.
