Rombilus

Suspended lights from Paviom

Product description

Concept

Summary
Rombilus pendant-specular lenses reflect and refract the internal light. In 1823 a French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel invented a technique to reduce the thickness of a large lens by splitting it into an array of smaller lenses for use in lighthouses.

Jonathan Coles is fascinated by these large lenses and has drawn inspiration from Fresnel to design a multi-lensed light that can control the light and be an equally a breathtaking glass object.
