Concept

OCQ specializes in creating outdoor living space, and sells exclusive outdoor kitchens. It has now expanded its collection to include matching seating in the form of BBQube DINE. Michael Schmidt has designed a weatherproof table and bench set made from solid, thermally treated wood for OCQ, which can be kept outside in the open all year round.
The solid, 55-mm-thick wood has an elegant, antique feel with fine surface finish, and the pieces themselves are large: The long 280-cm version can easily fit up to 12 people. With a seat depth of 47 cm, the benches are particularly comfortable.
In order to create a sustainable product, the decision was made to use oiled, thermally treated ash wood, whose hardness and weather-resistance provide an environmentally friendly alternative to tropical wood.
