A more inviting floor -Normann Copenhagen is expanding their collection with the rug Trace, designed by Sarah Böttger and Hanna Emelie Ernsting.
Trace is an untraditional quilted rug that combines a soft appearance with a rigorous graphic pattern and aesthetic colour combinations. The quilting technique has made it possible to create a double-sided rug rich in texture, which is just as decorative whichever side is facing upwards.
The rug’s expressive pattern is inspired by flowing lines and traces in the sand created by grass and reeds blown in the wind. The designers have combined this with classic geometric forms and created a design that is bursting with life. One side of Trace is composed of two differently coloured textiles. The other side is kept in a single colour while the fringes at the top and bottom make the design extra eye-catching.
Trace is available in four colour combinations that range from light to dark, dusty to clear and from soft to intense. Two of the rugs have subtle tone-on-tone combinations in grey and blue nuances, whilst the other two rugs have unexpected colour combinations and accents.
