This vintage Rya Rug, was woven in Scandinavia during the mid twentieth century. This colorful vintage Rya rug features a gradient mariner's compass medallion with geometric lines that are paired with a border of radiant roundels. The poly-chromatic borders feature a diverse selection of chestnut brown and sunshine yellow runes decorated with geometric patterns. The glowing field is surrounded by voided roundels, cruciform symbols and X-shaped details arranged in an abstract manner. Tightly spaced circular runes fill the radiant coffee colored borders that feature walnut brown details set over a pumpkin-orange background and warm chestnut brown runes set over a walnut brown colored background. The gradient color scheme of this mid century modern vintage Rya rug emanates from the central medallion creates a glowing facade that is centered around the fiery sunshine yellow field embellished with fiery flecks of orange red.
