Acua Ceiling Lamp

Curiosity is a habit of mine. I'm interested in harmony between materials, the propagation of light, the geometry of nature and so on.
My disorderly discovery of Archimedes, Galileo and Pascal led to my experiencing periods of bliss, as I watched steam rising from the bath, a sponge struggling not to get more soaked and to continue to float, bubbles popping on my knee, a drop enervating and the rhythmic progression of its waves across the water, etc. Meanwhile I was thinking.


Acua was the model chosen by the company MODISS to open the international presentation of the novelties for the season 2005.
No doubt this elegant piece, inspired in the curved and spherical lines that marked with indelible track the decade of the 70’s, is to become a “new classic” among the designs of Alfonso Fontal.
Along with the sensuality of the lines, a remarkable feature is the grey the methacrylate smoked or orange screen, that allow us to see three perfectly white, clean, radiating globes on the inside.
The conjunction of the translucent group with the chrome of the joining pieces gives the lamp all the strength and the modernity of the contrasts.
The complete line of Acua is composed of two pendant lamps (35 and 45 cm of diameter) and two of table lamps with the same measures so that they can be placed in outstanding locations at home.
