Sideboard made of recycled timber and steel.
The VAALS sideboard, with its minimalist design of recycled lumber combined with powder-coated steel, provides a restrained homely look in a variety of settings: storage with storage space in the bathroom or bedroom, hallway, living room or kitchen.
The base of the shelving system is a frame made of 2 cm thick square steel tube, into which an internal table top made of 2 cm thick, solid wood was integrated. The four drawers are also made of recycled lumber with exciting wood grain and can be opened by slight pressure via push-to-open function. To highlight the grain optimally and to protect and maintain the lumber, it is treated several times with organic hard oil.
Despite the obvious front and back, VAALS is due to the open element without back wall as a room divider or as a freestanding piece of furniture in the room, which inspires by valued processing. The model can also act as a lowboard that can accommodate TV or decorative items.
