Centrepiece made of Urushi laquered wood. Dimensions: 22,5x22,5x7,5cm - 8,8x8,8x2,9in. Color: Red. Made in Japan. Manufacture: Shibaji Ochiai for HoD

Concept

Gassan and Tateyama are two bowls made of turned lacquered wood by the craftsman Shibaji Ochiai. Of different sizes, they are characterized by a narrow base with a circular section from which develops the actual container. Sinuous shapes drawn with a flick: elements which, in the intention of the designer, they want to reinterpret the elegant silhouette of the classic Japanese ornaments.
