Lightness, elegance, sobriety, usefulness, versatility. These are the key words behind the development of Tok, the new modular bookcase designed by Benedetto Quaquaro for cerruti baleri. The entire system based on the combination of a modular vertical element made of extruded aluminum and horizontal wooden shelves of five different lengths allows to create simple and articulate compositions, symmetrical and asymmetrical. The vertical element is also the aesthetic signature of Tok: it is clean but carefully sculpted and it complements a purposefully essential system with an extremely original and recognizable element. The maximum span of the shelves between any two vertical elements is two meters but within this space their number can be varied symmetrically or asymmetrically, thus modifying the vertical rhythmical spacing and the overall look of the bookcase. The speed and ease of assembly are truly amazing: the system is based on an extremely small number of components which keep the vertical elements independent one from the other, thus allowing Tok to be built in a modular fashion, without the need for supporting frames or full-length connectors. This in turn generates an incredible versatility of application: from small vertical column like compositions to large full wall bookcases, from low bench-like designs to full height free standing compositions.

Modular bookcase based on a vertical element made of polished white or matt black painted extruded aluminium, wooden shelves in mdf blockboard lacquered in matt white, matt black, or laminated white, black or in natural teak, available in five dimensions, bases in black painted steel with adjustable feet. The assembly of the system is based on the vertical element, connected to the shelves through the hardware that comes with it, with a simple hex key, thus allowing countless compositions. The maximum span allowed between two elements is 200cm, while the maximum side overhang is 50cm.
