About Ziegel- und Klinkerwerk Natrup-Hagen
MORE ABOUT ZIEGEL- UND KLINKERWERK NATRUP-HAGEN
Our motto is to combine proven methods with innovative ideas. Our latest ceramics products pave the way for the continued promising future of our brick and clinker works "Ziegel- und Klinkerwerk Natrup-Hagen Hebrok & Berentelg KG": all of the single original water-struck bricks we produce are unique, demonstrating their handmade character. Our new engineering clinker bricks set innovative colour accents. Charcoal-fired products that are rich in contrast, bright shades of red and subtle earthy tones from nature’s wealth of colours give clinker bricks that certain something. Both our original water-struck bricks and our engineering bricks play another major role: they are excellent for paving, transforming paved areas into eye-catchers.
The roots of our medium-sized company, based in Natrup-Hagen in the District of Osnabrück, date back to the year 1932. At that time, the expert brickmaker August Hebrok and the experienced tradesman August Berentelg set up the first steam brick works in the region.
Our expertise in the manufacture of brick products achieves truly outstanding results. All the processes and manufacturing techniques – from extracting raw material to shaping and drying green bricks and firing them in the kiln – involve a great degree of skill. Moreover, each step in the process is perfectly tailored to our valuable raw materials. We only extract shale clays with high levels of quartz and kaolinite from our own deposits. Use of this resource, which possesses a high flux content, guarantees exceptional products with a high resistance to compression, high body density and very low water absorption properties. In this way, we’re able to manufacture durable, aesthetically designed products that reflect our unique craftsmanship.
