Each thing has two sides – even a carpet, which without a doubt can have two very good sides. But one of them is often underappreciated: the so-called ‘bottom’ often lags behind when it comes to further development. This is not the case with OBJECT CARPET, which pays particular attention to the hidden side of flooring textiles. The product's name already reveals that it is entirely dedicated to feeling good – WELLTEX foregoes all things that could be considered either unhealthy or unpleasant.

More than healthy. WELLTEX contributes three-dimensionally to improving the indoor climate. Among other things, the carpet backing noticeably improves room acoustics. This can be further refined with Black Thermo felt

The characteristic feature of WELLTEX lies ironically in what it is not: no latex, no bitumen, no PVC and no plasticisers. Although all this is "missing", the carpet offers everything that is required of it. It can withstand the highest demands, is extremely easy to lay and maintain, easily compensates for temperature fluctuations and the effects of humidity, and creates good room air as well as an extremely comfortable acoustic environment. The pleasant acoustics in particular, which can be further refined with the specially developed Black ThermoFelt Acoustic Plus tile backing among other things, is one of the greatest strengths of WELLTEX, which makes the carpet a true "whispering carpet" - not only beneficial for the entire room’s atmosphere, but also particularly in relation to health.

With all these "invisible" qualities, which also include more lightness but also more flexibility, WELLTEX embodies a new generation of SL acoustic tiles that has been integrated into the entire OBJECT CARPET collection with its 48 different types. But it is not only the company itself that’s convinced of the outstanding properties of this extraordinary ‘flipside’, WELLTEX has already won six high-ranking awards, namely the German Innovation Award, Green Product Award, red dot Design Award, Iconic Award, Design Selection 2018 and the AIT Innovation Award.

WELLTEX has won many awards, and rightly so. Six top-class juries have recognised the strengths of WELLTEX – the lightness, flexibility and complete recyclability of SL acoustic tiles make this product a reason for hope in the future

One of the most pressing issues at OBJECT CARPET is sustainability. WELLTEX and BlackThermoFelt Acoustic Plus, which can be combined with WELLTEX, are completely recyclable. The carpets are dismantled back into their original components and returned to the production cycle. The products, which mainly consist of ECONYL yarn, produce less CO2 due to their lower weight, use less water in production and reduce organic waste by 80 percent. In short: a floor with almost no ecological footprint – and getting ever closer to the ultimate goal.
