SCHÜCO’s range of sliding window-system solutions offers planners superb design freedom, with individualisation front and centre.

Openness is the measure of all things in modern architecture. Especially in residential buildings, room-high openings contribute to a high quality of life. All the more so if they are also thermally insulated such as ASE 0/80.HI from Schüco

You’ve got to move with the times, they say: Doing so means finding innovative solutions which offer users the greatest possible freedom in relation to both design and use. This requires, among other things, a high degree of personalisation – whether it be unrestricted accessibility, attractive design, or ease of use.

In meeting these requirements, Schüco has developed the ASE 60/80.HI sliding system platform, which is characterised by remarkable levels of thermal insulation in addition to its other features, and with a basic depth 80mm, is even suitable for use in passive houses.

Open and closed. Silent gliding in the floor-level guide track and the effortless handling of the lift and slide elements make opening and closing the large window elements a pleasure

The ASE designation stands for ‘Aluminium Sliding Element’ and is based on multifunctional profiles as a single, double or triple track system. ASE 60 / 80.HI can be used for basic depths of 60mm and 80mm, in each case with a modular hardware system in sliding or lift-slide versions.

The sliding elements can be opened easily thanks to support springs and can be reset with a damping action. Great importance has also been attached to safety: With the integrated SmartStop and SmartClose modules, the sash brakes gently and – depending on the model selected – can be pulled into the closed position.

This new sliding system platform is not only impressive from a technical viewpoint, but from a visual one too, with filigree profiles and a particularly narrow hooking area, reduced sash frame face widths, complete groove covering, a bi-metal effect and the flat design of the threshold for barrier free access.

Open air feeling. The Schüco lift-and-slide systems can be conveniently controlled from the sofa using an app, depending on your mood and the weather

The purist aesthetics can be optionally emphasised by accommodating the locking bolts within the sash frame. While the scalable Schüco ASE 60 sliding and lift-and-slide systems – which are equipped with security and convenience technologies – both scores points as design solutions for sustainable, user-oriented architecture, the thermally insulated ASE 80.HI version is impressive with individual configuration options for design and comfort, as well as certification for burglar resistance.

Last but not least, both systems come in a wide range of variants which offer different opening types and points of view. Everything, after all, is a question of perspective.
