Every single member of staff at Hain’s premises in Rott am Inn, Bavaria, shares the parquet manufacturer’s passion for the natural material. “Industrial mass production isn’t what we do. Every single plank is important to us,” says Susanne Hain, the second generation of her family to steer the company’s fortunes.

Especially in our technology-dominated day-to-day lives, warm and untreated products like plank flooring provide a welcome contrast. “Our floors are finished exclusively with natural oil that dries slowly in the air. It penetrates deep into the pores of the wood without completely clogging them. As a result, the floor builds up a particularly resilient, easy-care wear layer without depriving the natural material of the air it needs to breathe,” explains Susanne Hain.

From the trunk all the way to the finished plank, the wood is processed entirely on site using ultramodern production systems and a great deal of craftsmanship. By ensuring that production output is kept to a manageable level, the manufacturer is able to cater to specific customer requirements with custom-made solutions. As a result, it’s possible to produce special lengths of up to 7 metres with a width of up to 34 centimetres. With 100 different finish options in various types of wood, the product range is virtually unlimited.
