Argentalia is a project whose objective was to use a traditional and economic element: the partition, taking advantage of its versatility through different applications, for the creation of different atmospheres in the same space.

The project is developed in two levels with double height, framed by a belt of partition lattices that function as bars and railings. On the ground floor is the access which ends with a bar that locks and at the same time serves as a booth container with tables, which marks the beginning of the diners area which crowns with the bar of drinks with a backing made of stars that fulfills a double function as a bottle display.

To access the upper floor we designed a sculptural staircase that generates an interesting route for the user, these are composed of a tunnel made of embrasures, partition and wood, which are born and interspersed with the wooden beams of the ceiling, which at the same time they have a set of heights and a bias that gives character to the double height. Upstairs continues the area of diners with different types of furniture and environments, among which are the area of booths with walls in dry green tones and photographs related to the raw materials used in the cuisine of Argentalia.

These lattices work as a connection between the two levels and the double height of the restaurant. They act as architectural elements; the latticework of the staircase area contains the space of this circulation and in turn is woven with the wooden ceiling creating a sense of unity throughout the project. They were also applied in the perimeter railings that frame the good double height of the restaurant and lastly they were used as furniture in the form of bars and counterbars that function as a preparation area and display bottles in the bar and kitchen.

These lattices accentuate the perspectives of the project, give texture and generate a geometric order that gives comfort and invites the user to the space to spend a while sheltered by the warmth and kindness of the beauty of these partitions that remind of the traditional, but with a twist contemporary.
