Office

In a work landscape that puts so much emphasis on agility and flexibility, how to bring a sense of style to overall room structure? WAGNER’s answer is the D2 Office system.

The contemporary office landscape is a wide world full of agility, flexibility, modularity, and myriad balances and challenges. One of the biggest challenges is that of preserving a sense of style in all of these elements, as with new D2 Office developed and presented – or pieced together, to put it more accurately – by WAGNER, designer Stefan Diez and Gonzales Haase Architects.

Unhinging the possible in order to move a step closer to the impossible. That is the premise pursued by WAGNER, the traditional chair producers, who, decade after decade, continue to create diverse, healthy seating products for every conceivable purpose – from the Dondola® seat joint to the D1 chair series designed by Stefan Diez.

In the course of its collaboration with numerous prominent designers and interior architects, and under the influence of continuously evolving requirements for office space, one question has emerged as increasingly essential for WAGNER. How can mobile seating, sophisticated design and highly individualised functionality be incorporated into the overall room structure? The answer is D2, and it offers itself as a basis for contemporary office planning.

This flexible furnishing system composed of tables, shelves and chairs not only represents a pioneering aesthetic approach, but can also be installed and expanded without the aid of tools, thanks to a central connecting element and thus meets the requirements of dynamic office space. And the D2 Office, which has already been tested in Mirko Borsche’s premises in Munich, remains itself in motion, continually adapting to changing office life – as a ‘workspace in progress.’
