The result of years of research and development

“We are delighted to present UNILIN Master Oak,” says R&D Director Caroline Van de Populiere. “Many years of research and development have gone into this latest generation of panelling material. Our boundless passion for beauty and our insatiable appetite for innovation are what have made it all possible. We get most of our inspiration from nature, and with each new development, we emulate it even more.”

“Developing UNILIN Master Oak took a lot of effort. Achieving a natural look and feel with melamine and HPL was necessarily a process of trial and error. But the results are impressive. There's no doubt that we are taking a revolutionary step forward in the world of decorative panelling. The keys to our success are teamwork, smart use of patented technologies, and thinking outside the box.”

Better than the original

The new panelling material offers many options for creative interior design professionals. Caroline Van de Populiere: “UNILIN Master Oak’s matt finish delivers a luxurious appearance and has a unique pattern – just like genuine oak. That natural appearance is enhanced even more by the different types of pores and depth variations. Together with the outstanding performance of decorative panelling, you end up with a product that masterfully outshines genuine oak. UNILIN Master Oak has a natural appearance, is scratch-resistant, colourfast, and low-maintenance.”

Another strength of UNILIN Master Oak is that it can be combined effortlessly with other types of boards – such as MDF or chipboard – and the fire-retardant, moisture-resistant, and formaldehyde-free versions. Therefore, UNILIN Master Oak is suited to virtually all interior applications: from doors and shelves to wall panelling for offices, schools, hospitals, cafes, bars and restaurants. Early January 2022 will see the launch of six ready-to-use designs – four wood colours and two uni-colours, white and black.
