Patricia Urquiola has created an ‘open-air banquet’ in Trampoline, a novel outdoor dining duo from Cassina that completes the playful Trampoline collection. Two new products, a table and a chair, with the same rounded contours as the wider collection, have been designed to blend into a variety of outdoor settings between the light and shadows cast by the sun.

With a modern architectural aesthetic, the Trampoline Table features a painted aluminium structure – available in four colours: ivory, taupe, terracotta and green – bounded by two lateral sections reminiscent of stone portals. The base twists and turns in an interlocking of geometric elements. It supports an elegant rectangular or square tabletop with rounded corners, available in a resistant, washable Cemento Soft Touch concrete for a monochromatic look, or a luxurious Corallo Beige Marble for dynamic dialogue.

The Trampoline Chair also features an interplay of shapes, materials and colours recalling Mediterranean landscapes. Available in two versions, the first has a backrest in hand-woven polypropylene and nylon cord, echoing the materiality of the entire collection, upon which cushions can be freely arranged. The second features a minimalist exposed tubular aluminium structure with removable cushions attached to the tubular frame with fabric strips and brass buttons. Upholstered in various weaves and patterns, the soft padding, protected by water-repellent fabric, is made of recycled PET fibre wadding and polyurethane foam.
