Flexible: the distinctive magnetic joints allow the lamp head to be adjusted with pinpoint accuracy

Fully automatic, unobtrusive, precise and attractively designed light whenever and wherever it’s required. It was this ambitious goal that gave rise to these fascinating Swiss-crafted products: luminaires by senses, made from the top-quality materials that are part of the company’s hallmark.

The 'senses mooove' series by Hamburg designers Aaron Rauh and David Saupe features impressive touchless sensor technology and a clear, understated design that focuses attention on the lighting experience. Spelt with a triple O in allusion to its unique joints, the name mooove stands for movement. Because there’s no question that senses mooove is something of an acrobat: besides accentuating the unusual design, the innovative magnetic joints make the luminaire extremely agile and flexible, while the powerful magnets are strong enough to hold it firmly in the desired position.

But the intelligence of senses mooove resides in the lamp head: thanks to the innovative sensor technology it contains, the light can be turned on and off with intuitive hand gestures – without the need for a switch. The brightness and colour of the light can also be adjusted by means of simple hand movements. Whether it’s used as a floor lamp next to an armchair, a table lamp for the home office or a wall lamp in the bedroom, senses mooove is extremely versatile. And thanks to its unostentatious design, it’s compatible with a wide range of furnishing styles as well.

The touch suspension luminaire by product designers Stefan Eckstein and Susanne Scherf can be used as an uplight or downlight – and thus provide the right light for any mood. The user can choose between two intelligent control concepts for adjusting the intensity, colour and direction of the light. While the integrated control panel on the touch model provides a classic interface for selecting the settings for a wide variety of lighting situations, the innovative smarttouch suspension luminaire is controlled by an app (Android and iOS) on the user’s smartphone or tablet. And thanks to its elegant design, this versatile, slender and flat luminaire blends in harmoniously with any setting. What’s more, the LED technology means it uses very little energy and is thus extremely economical.
