Putting the floor in focus.
In 2009 Bauwerk Parkett, Switzerland's leading manufacturer of parquet flooring, redefined its brand image. The concept for the company's new showrooms was developed by Studio Hannes Wettstein. In the showrooms the floor takes centre stage, with all the other elements designed in white and remaining in the background. The wall system is designed in such a way that it can hold many components which don't usually have a fixed place in other shops. As a result the rooms make a tidy and well-organised impression, enabling the parquet to unfold its effect in full. Stylish decorative elements complement the overall concept, which can be applied to large and small areas.
On the stand at Designers’ Saturday 2010 parquet was also the star of the show, with visitors able to experience the material with all their senses in a walk-in tower landscape made of wood.
