Bait Mataf - The 1st International Bank of Israel

In autumn of 2015 the First International Bank of Israel opened their new office building in Rishon Lezion. Designed by Peleg Architects, the impressive structure features stunning state-of-the-art architecture and comprises a floor area of 40,000 square meters.

The design concept was based on the idea of creating a pleasant, inviting atmosphere throughout the building. At the same time, the unique architectural design of the 40-meter high atrium was to receive special attention and lead through consistently to the canteen.

Ofer Fridman, the contracted lighting designer, specified “Halo”, a luminaire designed by Nina Mair and produced by planlicht in Austria. Halo features clean, pure lines of light and provides an attractive and efficient lighting solution that can be viewed and enjoyed from a distance. The Halos applied in the lobby vary in diameter and are suspended at heights up to 27 meters. The solution applied in the canteen uses different colored Halos to generate a fresh and lively image to inspire staff during their breaks. The project comprises a total of 64 direct/indirect Halo LED luminaires.
