This project skillfully expresses the idea of a house with a pitched roof – as required by the local building standards – and does so with a contemporary approach. The unusual, experimental solution adopted for the ceramic envelope, which covers every vertical and sloping surface completely, creates a monolithic, mono-material and monochrome architectural style that blends in flawlessly with the surrounding landscape. The structure itself and the meticulous attention to details enhance the compositional, performance, and application potential of the state-of-the-art porcelain stoneware used.
