BLAQ Conference Chair

With BLAQ chair, designer Martin Ballendat created two chair variants. One is a mesh version that perfectly adjusts itself to body contours by the use of net fabric as well as a purist, wooden shell chair, which catches the eye by the unusual combination of a roundly-shaped, upholstered shell in connection with a non-upholstered backrest. DThe transparent mesh covering is rather atypical within the context of linking or stacking chairs and offers a high degree of stability aside from all the benefits of a breathable material. The wooden shell chair reflects the current trend towards the exclusive use of domestic wood.

The BLAQ chair also convinced the jury of German Design Award 2018. For its excellent product design, the innovative mesh chair became a winner in the category “office furniture”. The innovative design chair also received the Good Design Award 2017.
