Orca EJ 2500
Anne-Mette Bartholin Jensen, Morten Ernst
A few weeks ago 266 seats of the imposing Orca chair were installed in Wing B at Copenhagen Airport, one of Denmark’s important display windows. Niels Boserup, the director of the airport, comments on the new investment that the airport “is happy to combine passenger comfort with showing what some of the best designers from Denmark and Scandinavia can produce.” The designer duo Anne-Mette Bartholin Jensen & Morten Ernst, who won the very first Erik Jørgensen Design Award in 1994, is behind the modular system.
Orca is the Latin name for killer whale and the elegant jaw line of an Orca resembles the lines of the chair. Between the seats of polyurethane foam tables and arm rests can be placed as shown at Copenhagen Airport. At CIFF Orca is presented in two versions with the woollen fabric Tinta from Kvadrat.
