While a standard package of furniture destined for a residential interior design project might usually consist of a sofa, coffee table, bed, nightstand, light, chest of drawers, dining table, and dining chairs, Michel Baumgart, BoConcept Contract’s man in London, notes that, increasingly, there are newcomers to the list: a desk, desk chair and task light. You’d have to have been marching blindfolded through the last few months to not know why. In pandemic times, the world is working from home.
