The Panorama Design line from German window and door specialist SCHÜCO has been designed with light-flooded, transparent architecture in mind.

×If not before, then at least since the era of Mies van der Rohe, large openings in facades have been an accepted design feature, and, in fact, much more than that, as the light-flooded spatial experience came to become something of a must. Not just for purely aesthetics reasons, but also to intelligently utilise the world outside, for the benefit of inside.
Schüco’s Panorama Design sliding systems merge buildings with their surroundings, and in so doing, create maximum transparency. Their concealed vents and outer frames float silently, almost as if on air, controlled manually by hand or at the touch of a button.

×The ASS 77 PD sliding system represents a part of the Panorama Design line and is ideal for architecture that calls for filling spaces with light. The system, which can be intuitively controlled manually or electronically using KNX technology, can also be designed as an openable 90° corner solution, equipped with profile-integrated, automatic drive and locking technology. The vent design can be individually adapted to suit any design concept.
Complementing this creative freedom is the unrestricted freedom of movement afforded by the seamless transitions which the system allows for – thanks, in part, to the reduced installation height of the window frames. In addition, ASS 77 PD also offers intelligent sensor technology and ceiling-recessed infrared curtains that provide effective burglary resistance up to class RC2.

×The Panorama Design Generation also includes Schüco’s ASE 67 PD Panorama sliding system – a modular system in which different vent types can be combined with two different fixed frames. The wider 90mm version encloses the entire vent in the frame, while the narrow 57mm version optimises space and is perfectly suited to refurbishment projects.
The ASE 67 PD model also has a locking system – available in three different variants – which is fully integrated in the vent and which allows for locking both while in an open or closed status. Again in this case, the technology works in the background, leaving users to enjoy the pure design and optimal views. Mies van der Rohe would have approved.
