The hotel complex K5 has come to Kabutocho, Nihonbashi.

Based on the concept of coexisting with nature in the city, the complex boasts an imaginative, high-end hotel that stimulates the senses of everyone who visits.

The interior design and product design were handled by Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects, based out of Stockholm.

For each of the 20 guest rooms, which range from 20 to 80 square meters, we created sofas and recliners inspired by Japanese elements such as bamboo and origami, and we furnished the rooms with pendant lighting that offers a modern take on traditional lanterns. We also fitted the washrooms with circle mirrors that can be used to set the scene by changing the color of the lighting.

Superior craftsmanship, paired with Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects’ eloquent designs, helps fuse Japan’s traditional craft arts with a Western-style hotel.
