Rock Vault

The British Fashion Council founded Rock Vault as a jewellery initiative to support, showcase and promote Britain’s most innovative, fine jewellery talent – presented as part of London Fashion Week at Somerset House.

Emulsion designed the exhibition over several seasons, including this installation which occupies the West Wing of Somerset House, signified by an entrance portal of over-scaled crystalline elements. These continue inside the building, becoming an imposing installation that houses focussed display cabinets, with segments leading the visitor through the rooms.

The delicate pieces of jewellery inhabit glittering landscapes of silicon carbide, a material commonly used for industrial purposes including shot-blasting, as a deliberate contrast in both scale and nature.
