House at reed side

»Human being owns three skins: his own one, his clothes and his habitation«, Friedrich Hundertwasser said. To design this third skin was the job of architect Martin Kemminer. This house is a proof of his work. Located at the edge of a natural reserve the reed touches the border of the property. In this project Kemminer perfected the collaboration between architecture and interior design. The modern handling of natural shapes and colours and the use of innovative materials like timber or lately HVAC-engineering describe Kemminer’s work. Therefore he chose pur natur high-class Douglas floorboards with a 28mm thickness, 300mm width and an up to 15m length in the highest quality »Select«. They give a naturally warm feeling and contribute exclusively to the natural and modern atmosphere.
