At Ideo Arquitectura we have a different approach to our work: we passionately try to make every project into a sort of small film with a beginning and an end.
We seek out an idea, we think about it, we write it down and we draw it until it becomes a coherent, clear and precise script, like that of a film.
Each and every new project is an important scene of a great film which we began shooting in 2001. Ideo Arquitectura is a multidisciplinary team managed by Virginia del Barco and focuses mainly in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design and renovation of buildings, both in terms of the development and management of a project as well as subsequent control and monitoring. We handle all the required procedures ranging from permit processing and technical aspects of the building work to legal advice concerning rules and regulations, etc.
Our philosophy is based on “the development of an IDEA”. When we get involved in a new project, our aim is to guide our client through all its design aspects and create an innovative and modern space, whether it’s a small layout and alteration project or a residential promotion. Whatever the project, it can turn into a job as passionate as it is practical. We take on every new project as a challenge and hold ourselves accountable for every detail. When the project is completed, we submit a small report, a sort of film that starts with our first sketch and ends with the final. All it needs is a TITLE.
Biography
VIRGINIA DEL BARCO - Architect and designer.
Graduated in Architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid in 2001. Founder of the studio Ideo Arquitectura. She manages and coordinates all projects and deals directly with clients. She listens to and advises clients in each and every aspect during the project’s development, providing the services best suited to the clients’ time and cost restraints.
The architect has developed numerous projects of renovation of buildings, many of them are considered historic Heritage.
In the area of architecture, the only residential building sited in Barcelona has been named by Scalae (the architecture documentary agency) like one of the 35 best residential private buildings of Spain in 2007.
Within the area of interior design, Virginia del Barco has designed furniture like tables, sofas, objects, lighting, and constructive elements like doors, cupboards, washbasins and more.
