Hierve is a boutique design consultancy based in Mexico City and London. The firm was established in 1999 by Alejandro Villarreal, with the purpose of serving society through high quality projects in architecture, product design, visual arts and service design. At the core of their belief system is the underlying idea, that creativity should not serve itself, but should serve society as a whole.

Hierve has participated at international design exhibitions and fairs, such as: IMM Köln Furniture Fair 2012, Salone del Mobile in Milan 2012 and London Design Festival 2012, where they first launched their “Ropero” Wardrobe System into the market, gaining significant media coverage from reputable international design publications. In 2013, Hierve collaborated with British furniture company Case Furniture and designed the Vitrina Collection, winning the Homes & Gardens award for Best Furniture Designer.

Alejandro Villarreal co-founded H in 2014, a London based furniture brand, designing its first three collections which launched into the market at IMM Köln Furniture Fair 2014, and further developed H’s most recent collection ‘Loom’ launched during ICFF New York and The London Design Festival 2014.
