Melchet St

This story is about a bachelor. Who bought an apartment and contacted me to design his new place.

Our first meeting was at my place, and the minute he walked in, he said, "this is what I want, exactly like your place". Of course, I had to do some changes, after all, I am a designer, a dreamer, but I did choose to work with the same materials I chose for my apartment, which is manly concrete and loads of black, but to shake it up a bit.

We created a balcony, so he can have more options when he hosts, an open kitchen cause he loves to cook, a big nice minimalist but soft bathroom, a sexy, simple bedroom. In addition, another room, just in case, he will find the one, and they will have a baby.

By the end of the renovation, he already had a girlfriend so I had to step back and let them finish the place together. I am happy I gave them a good canvas to work from. Design for me is to find the balance between myself as an interior designer, and the people that inhabit the space. At the end of the day – it is their home to live in.
