Beartooth

Beartooth provides direct off-the-grid communication between smartphone devices. The pocket-sized transceiver pairs with smartphones via Bluetooth and allows users to talk to other Beartooth-carrying friends without having to rely on external infrastructure like Wi-Fi networks and cell towers. The simplest explanation: Beartooth turns smartphones into powerful digital radios.

We designed the product closely together with the Beartooth engineers to ensure we can provide the tightest component package. Our constant engagement with the client improved the user experience and reduced the volume of the device by factor four. More than 10’500 Beartooth units were sold during the pre-order campaign alone. Beartooth lives in both consumer and military worlds. We distilled down these opposing contexts as well as the founders' vision into a brand that positions Beartooth appropriately. We designed everything from Brand Strategy to tangible assets such as Logomark, Wordmark and Brand Guidelines for our clients’ everyday use.
