The Milan headquarters of ACCENTO, chosen by the multifaceted presenter Alessandro Cattelan for his new publishing house.

Converted from a workshop in an old factory, it is a a true small house but also a ‘container’ to welcome and house the thousands of ideas and facets of its owner.

The project was entrusted to Evastomper Studio with a precise request:

‘When Alessandro commissioned us for the project he had very clear ideas: he wanted a container to enclose everything he likes. First and foremost, the desire to proudly display his extremely valuable collection of football shirts, followed by the request to create a lounge/playroom area for eternal children with a passion for indispensable gadgets, and finally the need for a podcast area where he could work.’

Starting from these requirements, the architects of Evastomper Studio redesigned the spaces without distorting them, retaining the original structural elements where possible and taking advantage of the double level to enjoy the very high windows.

The result is an eclectic and intriguing industrial environment, made harmonious and domestic by the studied use of natural and real materials and where everything is made to measure: the small kitchen, the meeting room, the workstations, the room with an open shower and the podcast corner designed on wheels to be as versatile as possible.

The largest space is deliberately dedicated to the lounge that welcomes guests in total comfort: here the dusty grey of the walls acts as a backdrop to a sequence of wire mesh modules that become the measure of the space, and which can be transformed into a partition and display surface for the homeowner's eclectic collections when necessary.

The furnishings in the lounge are all by Flou: the sofas and armchairs from the Gaudí collection designed by Matteo Nunziati add a touch of colour with their forest green upholstery and wooden details that recall the warm shade of parquet. The upholstered items are completed by the small square Gaudí coffee table in wood and smoked glass and the round Pierre coffee table in metal with a special, material ‘oxide’ finish.
