Formfjord

In 2006 Fabian Baumann (Mechanical engineer and product designer) and Sönke Hoof (Product designer and interior decorator) joined forces to found the Design Studio Formfjord. According to project requirements, they work with freelancers

to extend our competences.

As a team of designers and engineers it is our aim to develop products that function – technologically and ecologically, ergonomically and emotionally, stategically and economically. This aim we pursue by seeking market gaps for innovation and creating product ideas that fit the market and our partners. Our designs are strongly influenced by the opportunities of material, manufacturing, the brand and everyday use but also by the limitations these issues cause.
