joval is based on the passion for creating aesthetic furniture made of wood and steel. The creative company was founded 2012 in Munich by career changer and autodidact Jonas Schroeder after several years of international experience. joval is based on an open-minded, unbiased mind-set.

The aim of joval is to develop high-quality and timeless furniture in cooperation with a network of specialized German manufacturers, furniture that people use and enjoy for a long period of time. The product development is based on an analytical, mathematical approach to design timeless and unique forms. Each joval product shall not only be aesthetically balanced but also be functionally and/or constructively innovative.

This design philosophy was acknowledged by the German Design Council several times: The foldable shelving system REBAR received the “Interior Innovation Award 2014: Best of Best” and the foldable table stand the “ICONIC AWARDS 2016: Interior Innovation”.

joval products address retailers and end customers in the area of home furniture and architects and planners in the area of object furniture. Due to the flexible manufacturing structure in Germany, the joval team works to develop custom designs for projects in addition to its standard collection.
