The Concept

Right in the heart of Bern, the Bern office of IT service provider adesso Schweiz AG is located at Bubenbergplatz 8, an attractive spot not far from the main train station. The new office concept in the style of «New Work» lives up to this prime location. Open workspaces and friendly meeting areas encourage teamwork and collaboration. Smaller meeting rooms and newly integrated retreat options such as the soundproof «Framery Boxes» provide the desired privacy. Professional work materials such as glass boards and pinboards, as well as functional height-adjustable desks, emphasize the New Work standard.

«We support working from home,» says Deputy CEO Michaela Gasser. «Nevertheless, the new concept is meant to invite employees to come into the office more often—and to enjoy being there.»

Improved acoustics and a consistent, soft color concept complete the new harmonious work environment. Soft green and deep turquoise tones paired with light blue tones create a pleasantly calming atmosphere that promotes creativity, concentration, and thus productivity. The color concept is supported by mint green and olive brown lockers as well as light brown shelving systems, all of which offer clever storage solutions.

The various lounge areas are furnished with tables and chairs in a steel-wood look. They further highlight the nature-inspired and modern office landscape. Numerous green plants and the newly designed break room, featuring a large, comfortable sofa, add a special sense of comfort.
