Welsh + Major Architects

Welsh + Major Architects was established in 2004 by Partners David Welsh and Christine Major. Bringing together their wide-ranging experience in architecture, planning and management, the pair has created an award winning design studio responsible for a diverse range of innovative projects.

Currently a team of 9, the practice now combines specialist skills in architecture, urban planning, interior design, project procurement and management. They have a reputation for designing engaging, inspired and functional buildings across a range of types and uses in the public and private realm to deliver innovative architectural solutions for complex environments.

The work of the practice has been published both locally and internationally and has been recognised with several awards for design excellence from the Australian Institute of Architects and other institutions across a range of scales and typologies.
