Profile

In 2008, Olivia Shih, a Taiwanese/ Australian architect, and Yoshihito Kashiwagi, a Japanese architect, combined different experiences and cultural backgrounds to form Facet Studio. Reflective of our multi-cultural partnership and international outlook, Facet Studio has offices in both Australia and Japan that handles projects in both regions.

Facet Studio’s architectural journey starts from looking for the most suitable answer for given conditions such as budget, construction methodology, site regulatory restrictions, and natural environments.

Once we have figured out the design potential, we patiently polish that rough gemstone, injecting our passion and energy, until it shines with multifaceted radiance. This gem, which acquires an eternal radiance, will be able to sustain its long-term value for our clients by skilfully distributing their budgets.

Finally, by scattering these bright gems one after another in the urban scape, we aim to produce meaningful architecture that touches and excites people, and as a result enhances richness in the lifestyle of people.
