B!POD is a brand created to find simple solutions to complex problems and focused on the three pillars of sustainability. Science and design.
For the design of B!POD's first temporary store in France, we reasoned at the conceptual level about the binomial “content + container”, drawing inspiration from the binomial “food + container” proposed by the brand's products. The space is wrapped in a system of pleated walls made of structured paper layers with flexible honeycomb geometry.
Sculptural aluminum fittings define functions and epiphanies: they are self-supporting walls strategically placed in the space. Completing the walls, we designed a kit of useful accessories: horizontal shelf, inclined shelf, hook for images or merchandising, and display for books and magazines. All accessories are repositionable to create ever-changing arrangements.
The Living space is furnished with Roly Poly seating designed by Toogood for Driade, coffee tables and stools from the Bit collection designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen and composed of 100 percent recycled plastic from domestic and industrial sources.
